I'm New Here So Be Gentle

Hello...  I'm an old timer.  Been designing and building sw since early 1960's.  last several years I've been incubating an idea, which utilizes NFC among other techs.

Everybody carries around more or less the same stuff.  In their wallet: credit, debit, etc. cards, some money, loyalty cards, driver’s license, workplace or school id, ...  In their pockets/purse: small change, house keys, car opener, car keys, tickets to an event, ...  In their car: garage door opener, registration, proof of insurance, smog compliance, ...  When traveling you carry more: passport, plane, rental car, and hotel reservations, transit pass, maps, …  Some people wear a bracelet warning that they have a special medical condition.

The basic Itsme idea is that your mobile can replace all these things, by connecting to appropriate location-based databases and identifying you to them.  So, your mobile becomes the only thing you carry around with you, and it does everything for you.  This is:  the Internet of Things, ubiquitous computing, pervasive computing, …, it’s beginning to get names.

I’ve made up one too: Itsme, to signify “It’s me. I’m here, and I want appropriate services from the smart-things around me.”  I’ve described Itsme at my website: david-k-rose.com .  Take a look, and let me know what you think.
