Manchester City Football Club is to trial new mobile phone technology giving fans access to their stadium and pay for goods at club retailers.

Pretty soon I can see credit cards slowly fading away as consumers use their smartphone handsets and smartphones as their preferred metthod of payment transactions.
How many people do you see carrying 5-6 credit cards are even more. When its lost or stolen you have to report & contact every single one of those banks. Get your mobile device stolen and all those services are blocked. NFC enabled devices definately have an advantage to an overstuffed wallet or purse.
